Reiki treatments typically last about 50 minutes. Upon arrival, a brief consultation will be held to discuss the client’s needs, intentions, and desired outcomes.

After the consultation, the client will lie on their back on a massage table fully clothed, and there will be a gentle placing of hands, palms down, or hovering of hands-on or just above the body in specific energy locations. There will be a series of about 12 to 15 different hand positions.

During the session, healing music of a certain hertz frequency will be used to help promote healing by resonating with the body’s natural rhythms.

Certain crystals will also be placed on or near the client. Light essential oils will be used unless the client is sensitive to certain oils/scents.

A use of some sensory items may also be used to help promote relaxation.

Halfway through the session, if the client can do so, the session will resume with the client lying on their stomach on the massage table.

After the session, there will be time to answer questions and discuss any helpful tools to incorporate into the client’s regimen to help facilitate the healing needed for the client’s specific needs.
